Reader photo: "My new Table Tonic cushions!"

Last night, one of my lovely customers emailed this picture of her gorgeous new Table Tonic Ikat cushions hanging out on the couch in her living room in Sydney. What a cozy looking corner! The "Large Blue Spot cushion" and the "Huge Beige cushion" is not a combination I would have imagined together, but don't they look FAB? I would love to share snaps of your Table Tonic purchases in their new surroundings, so shoot me an email anytime! And remember, there's a bit of a Mother's Day Sale on now: 20% off all cushions and Suzanis at tabletonic.com.au. Oh, and happy Friday! Wheeee!

Budget DIY of the day: Coathanger poster hanging

Oh, this is clever. Combine the cost of framing with the ever-changing decor in a kid's room and you can very easily end up wasting a fortune of money. So, raid your dad's/husband's wardrobe (or your local thrift shop), and grab a handful of old trouser hangers, and, voila! Chop and change your decor whenever the mood strikes the little Sir or Madam!

The Parker Palm Springs Hotel: Ooh la lovely!

"To many Angelenos, the Parker is Palm Springs. The former Givenchy Resort underwent a $27 million reboot in 2004 and now features 13 acres of frolicsome Jonathan Adler-designed spaces." - Jetsetter. Swoonalicious! PS Hermes soap in the bathroom and Moroccan Wedding Blankets on the beds? I'm so there. And a huge thank you to my latest blog discovery, Her Name was Lola for bringing these "frolicsome spaces" to my attention! (I found her via Make Under My Life, which I found via Made by Girl, and so on and so forth.)

"This elegantly edited mecca serves up a mood-enhancing escape from the mundane: a Mod-style indoor fire pit here, a crystal-cool lucite and white marble bar there. A pair of lamblike chairs seem to graze toward the Eames-inspired patio chairs at alfresco brunch spot Norma’s." - Jetsetter

(above) "Four pools! Two outdoor heated pools surrounded by beautiful gardens, chaise lounges, and plenty of staff to cater to your every whim." Although Jetsetter is quick to point out: "But try as you might to settle into a calm, shady nook, the saline outdoor pool — chlorine-free so as not to turn all that SoCal blonde to green — is magnetic. The difficulty of getting a poolside chair here has become somewhat legendary: Towel claims start at the crack of dawn..."

(above) "Rooms: 131 Rooms, categories include staff quarters, estate rooms, terrace rooms and junior suites. Villas: 12 very private, one-bedroom villas. Gene Autry Residence: A two-bedroom home, includes a living room, dining room, full kitchen, two-bathrooms, extensive closet space, and an outdoor lawn area."

(above) "The Spa, rated a world-class spa by Condé Nast Traveler (magazine), offers a full range of massage and body treatments. Private men’s and women’s: Indoor swimming pools, Jacuzzis, steam and sauna rooms, and a 24 hour exercise facility."

(above) The outdoor fire pit and butterfly chairs.

(above) Now thats what I call a reception area!

(above) "Formerly Gene Autry's Melody Ranch and Merv Griffin's Givenchy Resort and Spa, the Parker Palm Springs is situated on thirteen acres of landscaped gardens surrounded by the desert and mountains."

(above) "Restaurants: Norma's - A five-star diner that serves breakfast all day and evening long, both indoors and on our outdoor terrace. Mister Parker's - Open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday with a 75-person capacity in a cozy Brasserie atmosphere. Lemonade Stand - Poolside lunch and all imaginable (and some not so) lemon drinks."

You must read the full review by Adam Graham over at Jetsetter. It's really amusing, and he sums up the Hotel perfectly: "With acres of frolicsome Jonathan Adler-designed spaces with sceney, celeb-studded pools, communal fire-pits and Jacuzzi-hopping, The Parker Palm Springs is the place to see and be seen. The Parker welcomes guests to the desert with mod indoor fire-pits, faux-lamb chairs and an assembly of Eames-inspired patio furniture — the perfect splashy backdrop for anyone looking to live like a Hollywood weekender." And it seems, that would be me. Just need to work on the Hollywood-size paycheck!

Lily Donaldson + UK Vogue = Table Tonic-tastic!

If Table Tonic was a fashion shoot, this is totally what it would look like (originally published in UK Vogue, February 2005). Truly scrumptious. And rather timeless, just quietly - This shoot is 5 years old!
